Five Towns, Long Island

One shop for the cable and everything on it.

Networks, cameras, alarms, phones, doors, and the closet they share. David or Jack answers. The office is in Inwood.

Five Towns · Long Island

  • David or Jack

You reach the people who do the work. Not a call center.

  • Price after a look

If the job needs a walk-through, we do it before we write a number.

  • Personally guaranteed

If something is not right, you are calling the installers.

Where a job starts

Tell us the building, not a package.

  • A house people already live in

A doorbell, a messy closet, cameras, or rooms where the Wi-Fi dies. We work around the house as it is.

  • A business

An office, a shop, or another commercial space. Drops, phones, cameras, and the door, planned as one job.

  • Walls that are still open

A renovation or a new build. Call before the drywall. Cable pulled once beats opening the walls a second time.

About us

A local shop. The people who install it answer the phone.

Mittman Low-Voltage is family-owned, in Inwood. Most of the work is the Five Towns: Inwood, Lawrence, Cedarhurst, Woodmere, and Hewlett. Homes and businesses. A doorbell and a full wiring job are held to the same standard.

Hiring a camera person, a network person, and an alarm person means you are the one keeping them from crossing wires. We do the wires and the equipment as one job. One walk-through. One written quote. If you call back, it is still David or Jack.

The work

The wires first. Then what the building needs.

Cameras, alarms, Wi-Fi, phones, and doors are not three different contractors here. The groups below are common. They are not a menu, and none of them outranks the others. If yours is not named, call anyway.

Cable, closets, and networks

Most of the work starts in the wall, not at the gadget. Cable, data lines, racks, Wi-Fi, and phone wiring are planned together, so adding the next system does not mean opening the building again.

  • Structured cabling and new drops
  • Network closets left labeled
  • Wi-Fi placed for the whole property
  • Phone and voice wiring

Security, alarms, and the door

Cameras, intrusion alarms, intercoms, and doorbells are pieces of the same property, not separate trades you have to hire one at a time. Coverage and door entry get decided on a walk-through, then tied into the cable that is already going in.

  • Cameras indoors and out
  • Burglary and intrusion alarms
  • Intercoms and video doorbells
  • Entry that shares the same wiring

Controls a house can live with

Automation stays small on purpose: lighting, alerts, and a few controls the people in the house will still understand next month. The same standard applies to a one-room add as to a larger fit-out.

  • Simple home automation
  • Lighting and door alerts
  • Sized to the property
  • Shown to you before we leave

If yours is not named here, call anyway. Tell us the building. We will tell you if it is our work.

  • Data and voice drops
  • Wi-Fi

  • Simple automation

When we leave

A finished job you can still understand next year.

  • Labeled

Where the job has a closet, the runs are marked so the next change does not start from a guess.

  • Placed for these rooms

Cameras, Wi-Fi, and doors go where this property needs them. Not a diagram from another building.

  • Shown to you

Before we leave, you know how to use what we installed.

  • A person, not a desk

David or Jack. The same numbers that are on this page.

How a job goes

A number only after we understand the building.

  1. 01

    You reach David or Jack

Call or send the form. A photo and a sentence about the building is enough. You are not talking to a national desk.

  2. 02

    We look before we price

If the job needs it, we walk the property. Pathways, closets, and devices get decided there, not from a package.

  3. 03

    The quote is in writing

Competitive pricing, in plain language, before any work starts. The quote is free.

  4. 04

    We install and stay reachable

The work goes in cleanly. We show you how to use it. If something is off, you call the people who installed it. The work is personally guaranteed.

Where we work

The Five Towns, then the rest of Long Island.

The office is on Doughty Boulevard in Inwood. Day to day, the work is the Five Towns and the South Shore around them. Farther out on Long Island, we still come when the job is a fit. New York City is not the home base.

Questions

Ask this before you hire anyone.

If yours is not here, call. A straight answer is faster than a form.

Do you only install cameras?

No. Cameras are one part of the work. The job is the cable and whatever the building needs on it: networks, alarms, phones, doors, doorbells, and simple controls.

Who answers the phone?

David Mittman on (718) 490-0191, or Jack Mittman on (718) 869-1793. Same company.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. If we need to see the property, that look is how we write the quote. It is not a separate bill.

Can you work in a finished house?

Yes. If the walls are still open, call sooner. It is cleaner, and usually cheaper, to pull cable then.

Do you cover New York City?

The home base is Inwood and the Five Towns, then the rest of Long Island when the job is a fit. We are not a city-wide company.

What if I don’t know the name of the system?

Describe the room and what is not working. We will tell you if it is our work.

Request a quote

Tell us the property. We’ll price the work.

Prefer to talk? Call David Mittman at (718) 490-0191, or Jack Mittman at (718) 869-1793. If a walk-through will change the number, we look before we send it.
